If you want an immediate complete cover, then the 350x295 slabs can be butted together, which would require approximately 9.5 slabs per sq. metre.

For a more economical approach, we generally recommend planting chunks of grass at 200mm centres, which under normal circumstances should yield a complete cover within 12 months or close to it.

Pots, Punnets, or Slabs?

• The 100mm pots are the most covenient and robust for spacing out, and best for quickly creating the rounded mounding effect that makes this grass so popular.
• The 140x70mm punnets are also quite convenient for spacing out, by cutting each punnet in half, and are more economical than pots. They are also better for fitting in around pavers etc. or for finishing off where a whole slab is not required.
• The 350x300 slabs are the most economical but require cutting up, each into 20 small squares, (See diagram below). They to can be cut to fit in around pavers etc.

Cutting a 350x300 slab

Tip the slab on its edge and make 4 cuts across it width ways, to slice it into 5 evenly spaced strips, then cut each strip into 4 squares. This will yield 20 almost square pieces, approximately 70x75mm.
